Shop by pet
Size depends on your pet’s neck (most collars, bandanas, bow bibs) or head (bucket hats)—not on breed alone. Use a breed tip below as a starting hint, then measure to confirm. Charts change by style.
Find by measurement
The most reliable path. Same steps as our Size guide and the Find my size tool on product pages.
- Wrap a soft tape where a collar sits (neck). For a bucket hat, measure around the widest part of the head instead (usually in front of the ears).
- Neck styles: add about ¾ in (2 cm) for comfort—or about 1½ in (4 cm) if your pet has long fur. Bucket hats: don’t add anything; use the head measurement as is and compare to the hat chart.
- Match that number to the chart for the exact style you’re buying (neck vs head; bib vs collar ranges differ).
- Still unsure? Email a photo + measurement to support@pawsinstyles.com.
Popular dog breeds
Common starting size ranges for our everyday neck styles. Measure to confirm before you order.
Popular cat types
Most adult cats land around M on our neck chart. Large or fluffy cats often need more ease—or a wider Petal Bib range.
Mixed breed / Not sure
Skip the breed guess. Measure once, then shop. If you’re between styles (bib vs collar vs hat), open the size guide and use the chart for that style.

Bucket hats use a head chart (S/M/L). Dress-Up Club bibs are often one adjustable size. Petal Bib elastic ranges are wider than snap-on styles. Always check the product page for the style you want—recommendations must follow that style’s chart, not breed alone.
